Tug Toys

We offer a wide variety of tug toys to satisfy YOUR dog's style of play: whether your dog needs a simple toy to stay focused or would prefer something with lots of fur and tassels to help get them moving - we have you covered!  And if you don't see what you are looking for - CONTACT US and we can help make a custom toy for you and your dog.

Simple tugs and Bungee Tugs

We offer a variety of tug toys to suit different needs and budgets, from our simple hand-brained fleece to more complex toys with bungee handles (to save your shoulders!).

Our standard bungee length is 9 inches of bungee with 7 inches of handle - once a toy is attached this often averages a two-foot long tug.  If you require something a little longer, let us know and we can extent the length of the tug so it is easier to drag.
For ease of use we also offer the "Shorty" bungee option - 4 inches of bungee instead of 9.

Canine Safe Discs

Canine disc sports are rapidly growing in popularity with organizations such as USDDN, AWI, Skyhoundz and Updog all offering trialing opportunities in Canada.  In fact, Pandemonium Pets, in partnership with The Kinetic Canine and The K9 Adventure Academy host Updog Trials in Waterford, ON, over the summer months under the club name Pandemonium in Motion – click here for more information {link}.  Even if you have no interest in competing, disc can be a great cooperative activity for you and your dog – but – you will need canine-safe discs!  Luckily, we have got you covered with a wide selection of discs from three of our favourite brands: Chuck-It, Hyperflite and Hero Disc.

Chuck-It floppy discs are great for puppies or dogs with softer mouths.  While only Updog allows them in competition, they remain great training tools especially when starting out with a new dog.  What we love about these floppy discs is the rigid rim that allows them to function like “real” discs – in particular they roll well, which is LeGuin’s favourite way to play!

Hyperflite offers the widest variety of disc sizes ranging from their tiny Nano (4 inch diameter) up to their large Alpha (10 inch diameter) so that no dog is left behind.  The price point on their CS (competition standard) discs makes them a great entry level disc, and their Jawz discs are among the most bite resistant discs on the market.  Kwis for example, often plays with Jawz discs as they stand up well to his bite (especially if I Dremel off the burrs between trials).  Furthermore, if you plan on competing in Skyhoundz you must use Hyperflite brand on the field.

Hero discs similarly come in a variety of options, including three sizes (pup, 215 and 235), but also many different textures, and a range of durability from the affordable Air discs, to the pricier, but more bite resistant SuperHero and Superstar discs.  They also have two soft discs: the Gummy Go Getter, a rubbery floppy disc, and the Soft Distance, a slightly softer material than the standard 235.  Furthermore, they offer a series of discs specifically designed for Freestyle that float wonderfully well – these are a favourite of our Pratchett!
